Description

Press Blanking Line – Fagor

Press Blanking Lines allow complex geometries to be cut and stacked at a high rate and are mainly used in the automotive sector. Like cut-to-length lines, they are intended to transform a parent coil into flat-type packages of parts.

We can guarantee high productivity, product quality and reliability due to the design and construction of our machines.

  • Compact and advanced design, customised for each client.
  • Coil and bundle logistics and transport systems.
  • Impeccable care of surface quality.
  • Optimum levelling.
  • Very high productivity.
  • Option to add hot melt on strip surface.
  • Most advanced technology in vacuum stackers.
  • Proprietary trapezoid swinging die.
  • Blanking servo-presses allow increased productivity.
  • Solutions perfectly integrated with our own products in turnkey mode.
  • Tight dimensional and flatness tolerances.
  • High level of automation, reduced manpower necessities.
  • Easy operation and reduced operational costs.
  • Integral support across the whole installation.
  • Capable of producing top-quality aluminium blanks with a high degree of efficiency and flexibility.

Our lines can be specialised for very delicate materials such as O5 steels or aluminium used for automotive skin, for parts to be welded as “tailored blanks”, or for special user applications. In addition, we also offer the market hybrid blanking lines to process steel and aluminium on the same line.

Technical specifications

The most relevant machines that may be integrated into a cutting line with a press are as follows:

Levellers
Our catalogue includes a comprehensive range of levellers to cover a range of working thicknesses required for this type of line. Depending on the thickness to be processed, as well as the application, mechanical levellers or hydraulic levellers could potentially be used. In addition to the above, the leveller will have additional functions so that it can be adapted to the degree of automation and productivity required by the line, such as automatic cassette changing (< 5 min), LSA (Leveller Setting Assistance), multi-drive and application control, a roller cleaning system, levelling roller ‘know-how’ and other features.
The function of the leveller is to eliminate the internal tensions derived from the coil manufacturing process, as well as to eliminate local defects (pockets, ripples, etc.).

Press
Depending on the target productivity, the press may be mechanical (eccentric or link-drive), working at 65 strokes / min, or a servo press achieving up to 85 strokes / min. In addition, the presses may have a variety of moving table configurations, including fully automatic table changeover.

Oscillating Die
We offer two types of oscillating dies: press-bonded dies (the upper part is fixed on the slide and moves solidly) and tapping dies. Both solutions have an oscillation solution (up to 35º) that works with the line in a totally integrated and automated manner. The cutting gap is automatically adjusted to suit the line.

Stackers
These are the machines responsible for removing the material cut by the shears. At Bliss & Reels, we have a wide range of stackers to process a wide range of materials and thicknesses, the most notable being electromagnetic, vacuum, hybrid, pick-up, bomb-door and blower stackers. The configuration of the stackers is complemented by a series of auxiliary machines such as scissor tables, carts, shears, cleaning systems and strapping machines, among others.

Depending on the thickness, the stackers could be divided as follows:

  • Thin thicknesses:
    • Electromagnetic stackers
    • Vacuum stackers
    • Hybrid stackers
    • Blow stackers
  • Medium-thick thicknesses:
    • Pick-up stackers
    • Bomb-door stackers

The basic characteristics of a press cutting line are as follows:

BASIC FEATURES
Maximum belt widthmm2,500
Thicknessesmm0.3 – 5
Cutsspm80
Maximum speedm/min100
Part lengthmm5,000
Maximum coil weightTons40

As complementary solutions, we have a whole series of solutions dedicated to the automotive sector:

  • Removable washing machines: for coil and for formats
  • Height-adjustable cyclical rollers.
  • End-of-coil processing systems.
  • Anti-noise and anti-dust cabins.
  • Automatic pallet loading.
  • Controlled package extraction.
  • Comprehensive monitoring and multimedia display, etc.
  • Automatic marking system.

All our lines meet the most demanding EC, OSHA, etc. standards.
